10. Herren Chiemsee (Ludwigs II last castle built on an Island) "A true Bavarian Versailles"

We will cross through the rolling green hills while viewing beautiful Bavarian landscapes; driving by onion dome churches into the Alps. Reaching the highest point of the German Auto bond system, before descending to the lake of Chiemsee.
A short boat ride will take us first to the Frauen Isle (Ladies Island), after a short walk around the island and a lunch of fresh smoked trout we will continue on to the Herren Isle (Men's Island). Here on the lake of Chiemsee, Ludwig II built his last monumental castle: Herren Chiemsee. Really unbelievable! I am an official registered guide to the Island, being granted permission from the King himself to take you through his castle.
