Ask about the city of Innsbruck many guided tours!

The old city of Innsbruck is 580 meters above sea level, founded by Otto von Andechs. The very old and fast growing city was first mentioned in 1187, being settled in 1200's. The so called Golden time was under Kaiser Maxmillian I (1490-1519).

Rattenburg

During WWII, Innsbruck was hit with 22 bombing raids which caused very much damage, from which nothing remains today. Maxmillian I married Bianca Maria Sforza from Milian 1494; the golden roof was built in honor of the wedding. The Gasthof Goldener Adler is where Goethe lived in 1786-90. Several points of interests are: Hofburg Residence of Maxmillian I (1460) Silberne Kapelle 1578-87 under Ferdinand II Hofkirche 1553-63 Graves and statues of Kasiers and family East from the Hof Church is the Stadtsäle 1890 and Leopoldbrunnen On our return trip, we can stop in the tiny village of Rattenburg where you may shop and relax and enjoy a coffee.
