Munich has a past rich in Jewish Culture that dates back to Henry the Lion in 1229 AD.
This is the original site of Munich's main Synagogue.
Run by the Israelitischen Kultusgemeinde; destoried in Nov 10, 1938. After which all Synagogues were burned to the ground.
We will visit the important sites of former Jewish culture in the city, some still standing some gone forever.
This History of Jewish Life in Munich Tour will be about 2 hours.
We will combine walking and driving on this tour.

Munich new Jewish Synagogue Ohel Jakobs opened Nov 9, 2006.
A high point will be a visit to the new Munich Synagogue in the city center and The new Jewish Museum in Munich opened March 22nd, 2007 with exhibitions and events relating to Jewish culture in Munich.

It is possible to combine this tour with a visit to Dachau Memorial Site.
