26. Mittenwald: Home of the Violin and a natural paradise! A full day tour.
Departing your Munich Hotel at (8:00 am) we will go a very short way over the autobond before exiting on to the soft winding roads of Upper Bavaria.
Along the way are Rococo churches and pristine lakes. Where we may stop for a coffee or just a short break.
After our short rest we will continue on going through national parks and breath taking scenery, before arriving in Mittenwald (meaning The forest in the Middle of the Alps).
Mittenwald is a tiny village high in the Alps, filled with culture and natural beauty. Home of the Violin and a natural paradise.
First we will take walk through the village to the old market place before visiting the world famous Violin Museum of Mittenwald where violins are still being made today.
After a visit in the museum we will visit a little more of the old village, here many violin makers and artists studio's can still be found.
The fantastic Leutaschklamm: My guests from all over the world enjoyed this very much!
During the summer months by good weather only I offer a chair lift up to the Kranzberg. Good condition of body and shoe sole is required for this part of the day.
Finally we will drive home passing through Garmisch on our way to Munich.
The tunnel to Dammkar is 400 meter long. Across the Karwendel mountain. Leading to the start of the famous downhill ski run Dammkar.
Come along with me on the Karwendel Bahn to 2240 meters above sea level and watch the Alps. The Karwendel cable car takes us into the largest nature reservation of the Bavarian Alps and offers a great panorama view.
